I am thinking of buying a John Deere 855. Its in pretty good shape, but I would like to do some restoration. I haven't been able to find that many listed parts for sale on the internet. Is the 855 hard to find parts for? What about decals, knobs, etc. Appreciate any response.

Any parts you need should be available at any John Deere dealer. I have gotten decals and knobs recently and all were readily available. If you are looking for aftermarket suppliers, I've never researched that. If you are looking for used parts I have used http://www.rvtractorparts.com/home/index.html. They carry anything you need for large farm tractors. They may carry compact parts also. ....

You will have to register with a username and password but you can look up and purchase JD parts on their parts website. You can also order them from your local dealer. ....

Thanks. As long as I know I can get parts I think I will buy it. Hopefully it will be a fun (?expensive) project ....
